As Promised....Here's Some Pictures.....
Then it's time to put on a hat and go outside to talk to the "kids."
(most people, except my mom, call them "dogs")
She actually did a really good job!
Then, since she was soaking wet, we stripped her down and she played inside the car.
(Not for long since I didn't want pee in my seat.....)
Another day of Cassidee picking out her own clothes and shoes.
Check out my boots!
She is loving to play with mine and Jeremy's shoes these days, also.
She walks pretty good in high heels!
She and Daddy had fun playing with some garage sale stickers!
They do kinda hurt when you take them off!
She had a bowl of shredded cheese last night. What???? She picked it.
Anyway, she never realized that she still had a yellow sticker on her head.
She also enjoyed a bowl of jello.
And it was so yummy she had to lick the bowl to get every last bite!

Totally bragging on my big girl....
This post is the result of me crying today because my child said "thank you" to me for reading a book to her......
Ugh!!! It is killing me how much she has grown up just in the last 2 months or so. She has really picked up on the "thank you" thing and says it all the time!!! If I put her in her car seat she says it. If I turn on the TV for her she says it. If I put her in bed for a nap she says it. And, it's really cute because we first taught her the sign for thank you. (Putting your hand on your mouth and making a forward motion with it is thank you in sign language) Anyway, she has never quite done it correctly so every time she says it she just sticks her hand up and covers her mouth and the CUTEST little phrase comes out of her mouth that sounds like "tank-y". Makes my heart completely melt!!!!
So, on to this post. I've decided to include a few of her new "tricks" and things she has learned. She will be 18 months old this week and I was writing this stuff down in her baby book, so I thought I'd share some with you avid readers as well.....
TV shows she loves:
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Handy Manny
Little Einsteins
The Goodnight Show
The Elmo part of Sesame Street
She has perfected a fake "burp" and still does her fake "cough." Heard her do a fake "sneeze" one time also.
Says Elmo = Mel-mo
Says Dora = Doe-wa
Says Backpack = back-back
Says Boots = oots
(yes, she loves anything Dora, but never really watches her on TV---don't know how that obsession started.....)
She knows the signs for "more," "all done," "milk (drink)," "please," and "thank you."
She loves to say "SIT" in a very commanding voice, although she isn't being mean, and she points to where she wants you to sit. She uses this when she wants you to sit in the chair and hold her or sit by her while she eats.
She loves babies. She likes to look at them and pat them. She's very gentle. It upsets her when they (or anyone) cry. She'll cry if they don't get taken care of fairly quickly.
LOVES to sing and do the signs to "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" and "The Wheels on the Bus" songs. If you are ever with her, ask her what the baby on the bus does---soooo cute to hear her go "wah, wah, wah...."
Can recognize the letters: A, C, and E---which ironically spells ACE! Can also recognize the numbers 1 and 2.
She loves to pick out her own clothes to wear. If we are at the house she ALWAYS picks out her camo shirt or shorts to wear. I don't know why she gravitates to those. She likes to pick her dress for Sunday morning church. She doesn't ever pick the same one two weeks in a row and she will definitely tell you NO if you pick up the one she does not want to wear.
She calls herself "Dee Dee" which is completely cute, but we have heard her say "Cassidee" once or twice.
She can tell you what sound almost any animal makes or face it makes----if she doesn't know (like a grasshopper we saw today) she makes a chomping sound---don't know where that came from. Must be her stand-by noise.
She is soooo sweet and loves to give you a "big squeeze", "big kiss", or "knuckles", and if she gives one to one person she has to give everyone else around the same thing!
I know that most of you have your own children who are completely fabulous also, but I wanted her to look back at this post one day and know how proud of her I was when she was 18 months old (and any age really). She is amazing to me and I appreciate you letting me share all of this with you!!!
And I promise to post pictures of this "amazing" child soon---my camera battery is dead! :-)

I've also been tagged.....
Thanks to Jodi and Kimberly I've officially been tagged twice now--so here goes!
Here are the rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (if you don’t have a blog, email me)
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Random Fact #1:
(I'm stealing "ideas" from Jodi and Kimberly's blogs to start out....)
I, too, have weird eating "patterns." I don't care if my foods touch, like Jodi, but I eat in a particular order. I eat what I like best last. If it is my favorite I'll save it for the last thing. A friend once told me that this was dumb because I might get full before I get to the best part. I told her that I was able to tell if I was getting full and needed to move on to the best part before everything else was gone!
#2:
Still on the food thing---I can't eat something sweet without eating something salty afterward. If I order dessert I'll save some bite of my meal to eat after I eat the dessert because I don't like having a sweet taste in my mouth. I think it's great when I can eat a bowl of ice cream and then eat a pickle afterward!
#3:
I can remember numbers well also. I know my friend from 3rd grades phone number. I know all the addresses and zip codes of all the places I lived when I was in college. I know our bank account numbers. I know Jeremy's drivers license and SS #. He better not divorce me or I could really screw him over!!! I can't do math to save my life, but I can remember my Victoria's Secret credit card number in case I need to order something over the phone.....
#4:
I can touch my tongue to my nose. That's more gross than random.....
#5:
I can't stand for my toe nails to get to long. I don't like it if they scratch or rub on my socks. I'm not a good candidate for a pedicure because I always cut my toe nails so short.
#6:
I have a tooth that has a filling in it and it has always been sensitive. I can't eat ice or anything cold on that side of my mouth. Even though it hurts, every time I chew ice I chew it on that side just to see if it does still hurt. 13 years later, it still hurts!
#7:
I throw milk away 2 days before the date on the milk. I know they say it's still good for a couple of days past that date---UGH!---so I guess I'm a milk waster. I drank bad milk one time and it's completely ruined me so I'm not taking chances anymore!
#8:
I have this list of "big girl" stuff that I hope to accomplish before I'm 30. Jodi can tell you about some of my big girl things that she's witnessed. It is a list of things that probably seem normal to most people: getting married, having a baby, buying a house......but there are also things on it that you wouldn't expect: drinking a cup of coffee, eating at a restaurant alone, taking care of myself (without my mom) when I am sick......
There are only a couple of things left on my list that I won't mention now. I'll just let everyone know when I've crossed everything off so I can officially call myself a "big girl."
Now, I'm tagging anyone who hasn't done this yet.
