Funival and other fun stuff!

Happy Halloween!!!
-
Just to throw everyone off I'll start with an OLD picture of Cassidee.....(old being 2 1/2 years ago!) People have asked if Cass and Cason look alike. My answer is always "yes and no." Probably not much of an answer for those who ask. But, I have always loved that both of them smile with their entire face. If they are happy, you know it. Big, wide open mouth smile, bright eyes, and some squealing most of the time. So, here are a couple of similar pictures of the two of them. I think she totally looks like a girl and he totally looks like a boy, but I think they favor each other pretty well....
Cassidee at 2 1/2 months....

Cason at 3 months....
Saturday night was our church Funival. We were bummed that Jeremy was working that night and he is also working tonight---Halloween----so he isn't going to get to play the game with Cassidee. He asked her to save him some candy.....we'll see!

Ring toss

Tic-Tac-Toe

Cookie decorating....her favorite!

Look at her studying the lollipop tree. I had to let 2 kids go in front of her. That's a big decision for such a little girl!

After we came home from the Funival Cassidee got to carve a pumpkin with Grandaddy.
(Her first time to do this!)

It took a good bit of convincing on our parts to get her to stick her hand inside....
I don't blame her!

Checking out the finished product

All lit up on the front porch!

Then we told her to blow out the candle inside. She had to sing Happy Birthday to the Jack-O-Lantern. Duh, you always sing before you blow out the candles! :) Silly girl!

The men in my life! Cason's already perfected the serious stare!
Little pouty puppy!
She is loving braids these days! Just wait till I get a picture of her pig tail braids! Why do they get so big so fast????
Thursday morning in my house yesterday......
Thursday night in my house.......
Micky Mouse Clubhouse and the Mavericks.....we are making sure Cason is well-rounded!

Pumpkin Patch.....and some previous ones....

Who doesn't love a good pumpkin patch?
We've gone to the same one for the past three years and I love to see how Cassidee has grown each year and how much fun she and Cason are going to have every year that we go!

Cason, luckily, can hold his head up long enough for us to get a picture without having someones arm or hand in there. Here he is at his first pumpkin patch (3 1/2 months old).

And here is Cassidee at her first pumpkin patch (7 months old and eating the pot)

Cassidee with the dalmations (7 months) She dressed as a dalmation puppy for her first Halloween costume.

At 19 months old I couldn't get her to turn around for the picture!

At 2 1/2 she is back to loving the dalmations!

Another "every year" picture we take.....

Cassidee's day at the fair!

We had a fantastic day on Friday--Jeremy and I took Cassidee to the State Fair!
She knows what carnivals are, so I tried to tell her it was a big carnival with lots of rides and lots of yummy food. She kept telling me that she wanted to ride a "toaster toaster" which I finally interpreted as a roller coaster. Since it was her "day" she got to pick what we did and where we went.....with a little bit of guidance at times. We all enjoyed the fun time!

Daddy and Cass waiting in line.....and being silly!

Silly kiss for daddy!
Cassidee's first Fair experience was 2 years ago when she was 6 months old.......
......she sure has grown!
Little thing that was just getting the hang of sitting up on her own!
This time she knew what to do and didn't need any help!

My little Miss Piggy!

My bigger, cheesier Miss Piggy!

Other randomness:
Cassidee wanted Jeremy to sit in her lap.....that lasted 5 seconds!
Cutie kids in footie pajamas!
Mommy's Little Devil!
The other day it rained and Cassidee wanted to play in our "river." Why not? It was still above 80 degrees outside.....
although now she has a runny nose and cough....oops!

Prom King, 3 months, Park Play, and P's Party!

I'm calling out my husband! If you see him, tell him congratulations for being Richland High School's 1998 Southern Beau (which I was told is the equivalent of Prom King). This all got brought back up at his 10 year high school reunion a couple of weeks ago. It may not have been super fun for me, since I only knew 2 or 3 people other than Jeremy, but it was a fun date night for the two of us!

Here are his two best friends from high school that he still talks to....and by talks to I mean, I call occasionally to have a dinner get-together....but, they are great girls! And, congrats to Cheryl (on the right) who just found out she is having a baby GIRL in March!
The entrance to the place we had dinner at the reunion.....that was Jeremy's yard sign from his high school football playing days!
Last week Cason turned 3 months old! Big boy!
Cute smirk....we couldn't get the big smile out of him!
We got the big smile later that night as we were changing his diaper!
Crazy girl thought she needed to wear one of his bibs.
Chillaxin' at the park one day when I felt like being adverturous.....I took both of them by myself. No, I don't have a double stroller (I do now!), so he was in the front pack and she was in the stroller. Not as easy as it sounds.....and no, he doesn't match.....
An easy way for me to get Cassidee to eat more and eat more healthy.....put each thing in an individual cup in a muffin tray. Keeps everything apart so they don't touch and she gets lots of variety. Don't remember where I saw it, but it is working for us, so far!
Happy lil Horns cheerleader!
Woo Hoo! We beat OU!

Having fun painting at Presley's 3rd birthday party!
At the pumpkin painting table!
Licking the top of her cup cake!
They got to decorate their own cup cake, so she is putting on a little (LOT) of pink icing!

Tasting the yellow icing.....no, I didn't let anyone else use it after her.

Then I look up and everyone is gone....except my child. She wasn't finished eating her cup cake, so she missed out on one of the games everyone else played! Silly girl!
One of her new favorite things: using a lint roller.....
Daddy and his girl!
Mommy and her little man before church!

Happy Fall Yall! Enjoy this cooler weather!
