For my sister Kelsey.....

I wish you could have been at my Princess Party! I missed you lots! Thanks for my music box -- I listen to it every day!
I love and miss you!!
Love, Cassidee

Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? ..... Yes, she can!

I Love, Love, Love watching Cassidee learn new things! If I am this proud of her when she learns to moooo like a cow, how proud am I going to be when she is Miss America or something! (just kidding)
Anyway, every week she learns something new, whether it is mooing, barking, or saying another word. Although I don't have any pictures to post, since I am at school and not on my computer, I just had to stop and brag on her for a minute. My sweet baby is growing up faster than I want her to.....

Things Cassidee says right now:
*momma
*da da da da
*this
*that
*I got
*sheet
*duck
*dog
*nooooo

Other things she does:
*points at a cow and says "moooo"
*points at a dog and barks
*walks around the house and barks, even though there is no dog around
*licks things -- especially if you ask her for a kiss, you'll get a lick
*blows on her food--even if she is eating yogurt, or the other day, a popsicle, she will put it up to her lips and blow before she opens her mouth
*spits at her food--like when you put the spoon to her mouth and she blows a raspberry--funny until prunes go on your white shirt!
*spits out her food if she is full and you give her another bite
*completely covers her head and face with her sheet to go to sleep
*snorts -- not when she is laughing, just on purpose -- but it's not associated with a pig

And, my favorite thing lately is to read this particular book with her. It is called B is for Bear
and it is one of those touch books with furry pages and things to feel. It starts out with A is for apple. The other day when we were reading, I jokingly told her to get a bite of the apple. Now, when she picks up the book she opens to the first page and licks it.

I Love Her!!! :-)

Just helping to get the word out....

Please click on the link for Jaymie P. on the right hand side of my blog. Here you can read the story of twin babies born prematurely and see the precious pictures of them. I know Kory and Jaymie will be very encouraged by your comments that you leave for them. Mostly, they need your prayers for their babies, Jayde and Kanyon, and also for themselves as they face this difficult time.

She'll have her cake....and eat it too!

We had such a great weekend! Jeremy, Cassidee, and I packed up and spent the weekend in Houston with the Beaver family--thanks again for letting us come visit! We got to do so many fun things. We are worn out, but we can't wait to go back!

Here is Cassidee in her car seat, ready to hit the road.

Because the Beaver's can't come to the metroplex for Cassidee's b-day party on Saturday we had a party for her at their house. Jodi made a fabulous cake--despite what she thinks--and we had no trouble digging into it!

The cake--"before" picture.

Cass neatly tastes the cake with one finger.

MMMM! Good cake!

Yup, she loves it!

She is telling Reagan to try the cake on that side!

Yup, still good!
Here Reagan, have some of mine!
I think both girls loved their "breakfast."
All done! Look everyone---I have cake everywhere except my arm pits!

The cake--"after" picture.
After cake we opened Cassidee's present from Reagan.
She loves the new outfit and bubble maker she got!
Jeremy and Reagan enjoyed playing on the floor.
We loaded up the kids and headed to the zoo on Saturday. It was cute to see them in car seats next to each other. They had fun stealing each others toys and pacifiers.

The daddies put the babies in the packs
and we're off to the zoo. Jeremy and Cass check out the elephants.
We stopped for a family photo by the pretty flowers.
We took a picture of Cassidee in an eagle's nest.
I know the girls are wondering why their dorky parents are putting them in an eagle's nest and taking their picture.

In this picture Cassidee is telling Jodi and Reagan that the animals will be back in one minute.....
....well, where are they???
Cassidee is looking at the sheep--but making barking noises like a dog!
Cassidee and Reagan in their "Blue Eyed Girl" shirts.

Reagan says, "The zoo is super fun!"

When we were packing up to leave Cassidee took off on her 4-wheeler. She was tired of being carried in the backpack and wanted to blaze her own trail.

We went to Kemah and ate at the Aquarium Restaurant. All the fish kept the girls (and daddies) entertained!
Back at home: Reagan is showing Cassidee her block....
....and Cassidee goes and takes it away from Reagan. We're still working on that sharing thing.....

We'll end this long post with a cute bath tub picture.

Thanks to the Beaver's for a fantastic weekend! Come see us soon!

Lovin' the 4-wheeler!

We just can't keep secrets!
(My family knows that about me!!!)
We bought Cassidee a 4-wheeler for her birthday. Although her b-day isn't until next week, we already let her play with her present! She is a ridin' fool. She just loves it. She can ride it all the way down the block to the playground!

Daddy is showing her where the button is one more time.
She loves climbing all over the playground at the park!
The swings might be her favorite!
Oh, and my sister Kayla got a nose ring the other day--random, I know. I took a picture of it today and had to put it on here. I wish I could pull off something like that. I think it looks cute on her!

This past week in our house....

Cassidee loves to listen to Jeremy play the guitar. She sits and stares at him, or she moves her legs and "dances" to the music. I thought this picture was sweet of her just staring intently at him.
Clay, Maurine, and Avery came over for pizza and a movie. The movie turned out to be Baby Einstein, but atleast it kept Avery occupied for a little while!
Cass let Avery ride her horsey. From what I hear, Cassidee helped Avery "rock" the horse.
Uncle Spencer came home from college for spring break. He and Cass got to play together for a few minutes.

Have a great week!

Only one more week for me, at school, then I'm on Spring Break!

Woo Hoo!

**Mom and Dad- Hope yall and Kelsey are having fun in Europe!!**

Our Family Pictures

Go to the website: www.paigepearsonphotography.com
Find "Broom" and click on it.
There you will see the amazing pictures that Paige took of our family this weekend. Let me tell you, she is a miracle worker. You would never know from looking at the pictures that my daughter was being the biggest whiney rear in the world!!! Seriously, I thought Cassidee was crying or pouting in every picture, but Paige caught some great faces on Cassidee!!! They are great! Thanks for your patience, Paige!!!

Mommy Questions

Okay, here's the deal. We are going to start switching Cassidee over to regular milk next week--11 1/2 months old--close enough to a year, I hope!?
Anyway, she's slowly taking fewer and fewer bottles these days. Basically one in the morning, one at night before bed. I'd rather not give her the milk in a bottle. I'd love to have her off bottles by a year or soon after. My thinking is that I'll just give her an ounce or two of regular milk in her sippy and see what happens. She does great with her sippy cup and prefers it filled with water over a bottle sometimes! I keep hearing everyone say that you need to mix the milk and formula half and half or so until she gets used to it. What did you do? How did you get on the regular milk and off the bottle? I know for some that is two separate issues. Cassidee does great with cheese, yogurt, ice cream (yes, bad mom of me to have given her ice cream already). Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!
